If like me you are bored (and a bit nervous) from hearing the phrase Credit Crunch and all the doom and gloom that goes with it. But at the same time have heard enough to understand that it can’t be ignored then ask yourself this. “Should we be munching our way through the credit crunch”?

Apparently the service industry will be one of the hardest hit, but will this just send service industry customers heading for the contracts draw, dusting off the tired aged service contracts and Googling for a better offer?

If our last few weeks are anything to go by I think that is exactly what is happening. We have experienced a noticeable rise in companies contacting us to find out how and if we could save them money on their existing IT support contracts. The majority of which are now happy new customers. After all people need IT support, that can’t and won’t just stop because of the credit crunch.

The obvious flip side to this is we need to make sure our customers stay with us. I believe we do and will achieve this by continuing to care about our customers and by keeping our support contract prices at an honest and reasonable level.

So, will these hard times just sort out the IT support companies who care from the ones that don’t care enough? I think so.

So I say “hey service industry, sharpen your pencils and pull up your customer service socks or prepare to be crunched.”
